These Ethiopian Welo opal stud earrings put genuine play-of-color fire right at your ears, set in solid sterling silver ball posts with butterfly backs. Each 8x10mm oval is a natural Welo opal sourced from the Wollo Province of Ethiopia, the region responsible for the most vivid color flash in the opal world.
Welo opals display rolling spectral fire that shifts with every movement and light source. No two stones are identical. What you see in the photos is exactly what you get — one pair, one of a kind.
The ball post setting keeps the oval centered and lifted off the ear, letting light hit the stone from multiple angles. Comfortable for all-day wear, secure enough for travel. Sterling silver posts are nickel-free and suitable for most sensitive ears.
